[texts]Polar cap potential distributions during periods of positive IMF(Interplanetary Magnetic Field) B(sub Y) and B(sub Z) - Burke, William J.
We compare the DE-2 electric field measurements used by Heppner and Maynard to illustrate strongly distorted BC convection patterns for IMF(Interplanetary Magnetic Field) Beta(sub Z) greater than 0 and large Beta(sub Y) with simultaneous detections of particle spectra, plasma drifts and magnetic perturbations. Measured potentials greater than 5 keV, driven by the solar wind speeds exceeding 500 km/s are greater than published correlation analysis predictions by up to 27 percent...

[texts]Inertial Head-Tracker Sensor Fusion by a Complementary Separate-Bias Kalman Filter - Foxlin, Eri
Current virtual environment and teleoperator applications are hampered by the need for an accurate, quick-responding head-tracking system with a large working volume. Gyroscopic orientation sensors can overcome problems with jitter, latency, interference, line-of-sight obscurations, and limited range, but suffer from slow drift. Gravimetric inclinometers can detect attitude without drifting, but are slow and sensitive to transverse accelerations...

[texts]TASK OF PREDICTING THE ROTATIONAL MOTION OF AN UNSYMMETRICAL TWISTED ARTIFICIAL EARTH SATELLITE - BABADZHANYANTS, L. K.
EQUATIONS USING OSCULATING ELEMENTS IN THE GENERAL CASE OF DYNAMICALLY UNSYMMETRICAL BODIES ARE DISCUSSED. THE CASE IN POINT IS THAT OF AN ARTIFICIAL EARTH SATELLITE IN A CIRCULAR ORBIT OF AN ALTITUDE ON THE ORDER OF 700 KM. TWO PROBLEMS MUST BE SOLVED: REFINEMENT OF THE PARAMETERS AND INITIAL VALUES, AND NUMERICAL INTEGRATION IN A GIVEN TIME INTERVAL. THE RUNGE-HAINE-KUTTA METHOD IS TESTED AS IT APPLIES TO DERIVATIVE UNSOLVED SYSTEMS.

[texts]Scalable Hierarchical Network Management System for Displaying Network Information in Three Dimensions - NON
A network management system has SNMP agents distributed at one or more sites, an input output module at each site, and a server module located at a selected site for communicating with input output modules, each of which is configured for both SNMP and HNMP communications. The server module is configured exclusively for HNMP communications, and it communicates with each input output module according to the HNMP...
